Based on the antique discovered in 1862 in Pompeii.
First identified as a Narcissus, it is now presented at the Archaeological Museum of Naples (inv.5003) as a Dionysus.
Perfect condition. Height 56 cm.
Dionysus standing, naked, crowned with flowers, a nebris thrown over his left shoulder, wearing high laced sandals discovered in Pompeii in June 1862 "Vico del Balcone Pensile in the Casa di Narcisso, near the entrance".
