"Paris 1783, Pair Of Sterling Silver Meat Dishes, One Oval And One Circular "
Lovely pair of two solid silver dishes from the Louis XVI period, one round and one oval. Both stamped with the same guarantee hallmarks of Paris 1783. The master goldsmith's hallmark is clearly visible but unfortunately only partially legible. Each dish is engraved with the same coat of arms topped with a helmet. "Azure with a mount of three pointed cups, surmounted by three silver stars arranged in chief" The round dish weighs 950 grams for a diameter of 30 cm. The oval dish weighs 1275 grams and measures 40 cm long by 28 wide.
