Large Woodwork Painting in its original woodwork decorated with a very large canvas representing a Bacchanal scene with angels and putti.
Important oil on canvas in its original woodwork carved with flowers, shells and acanthus leaves with a gray-green patina, one could even rather say an almond green.
Look carefully at the photos the woodwork is very finely carved with flowers and interlacing, floral motifs with a few florets while forming a large frame.
At the bottom center a large acanthus leaf. The whole is very harmonious.
The large oil on canvas is inspired by antiquity and scenes of bacchanals where usually Silenus drunk is mounted on a goat surrounded by bacchantes and fauns.
Here the painter had fun making a version with angels and putti, with a putto riding a goat surrounded by mischievous putto and an angel in an undergrowth landscape.
