"Louis Majorelle - Rare Lady's Desk In Marquetry And Gilt Bronze, Circa 1900, Art Nouveau"
Rare half-moon shaped lady's desk opening with a drawer on the front and decorated with a small step. Work in mahogany and marquetry with water lily decoration. It is decorated with chiseled and gilded bronzes in the shape of centipede leaves which highlight the uprights of the step and the sabots. Superb model entirely restored, french polish. Very beautiful shape and beautiful movement typical of the most prestigious works of Majorelle under Art Nouveau. Work circa 1901. Signature on the top "Majorelle Nancy" pyrographed.
