"Golden Age Inn Scene"
17th century inn scene depicting six soldiers seated at a table near a fireplace, a seventh older character in civilian clothes seems to indicate a place on the wall. The subject is taken from a novel "... gravedigger's house, the day before the battle of ... Ranfeld (Painting by Georges Conraeder in the Hamburg Museum)" according to the caption of the engraving stuck to the back. The painting shows some wear and is framed in a modern frame. Without a frame, it measures 19.5x30 cm.
