"Exceptional Empire Clock"
Very rare Empire gilt bronze clock representing "The discovery of static electricity". Clock commemorating the discovery (by Ramsden 1768) of the production of static electricity by friction on leather cushions produces electricity stored in the Leyden jar.
A female figure receives a discharge causing a concussion.
The base is decorated with a bas-relief on the theme of science.
This clock rests on 4 spinning top feet.
White enamel dial, movement with hour and half-hour strike, wire suspension.

The pair of candelabres are also available and sold separetely
