A patinated and gilded bronze sculpture depicts the Chinese god of longevity, Soulao, riding a deer. The sculpture is made with great attention to detail.

Soulao - God of longevity associated with the star Canopus at the South Pole. He is usually depicted as a bald old man with a high forehead and a long white beard, carrying a staff and a peach. In China, he is one of the three gods known as "Fu-Lu-Shou san xing" (the three star deities of luck, wealth and longevity), the others being Fu xing (God of luck) and Lu xing (God of wealth).
