"Rosewood And Ivory Desk - 19th Century Masterpiece"
Exceptional 19th century rosewood desk, with black-stained rosewood veneer and ivory marquetry. This classically inspired piece of furniture is distinguished by its top with raised angles, decorated with a central decoration representing the Judgement of Paris, surrounded by finely carved masks and scrolls. The belt of the desk has two drawers decorated with medallions representing philosophers, enhanced with floral garlands. The baluster legs, of great elegance, are connected by an H-shaped spacer in the pure 17th century style, adding a touch of harmony to the whole. Dimensions: - Height: 77 cm - Width: 137 cm - Depth: 84 cm Remarks: Some cracks, accidents and small losses are to be noted, witnesses of the passage of time, but do not alter the charm and historical value of this unique piece.
