"Terracotta XIX "the Chinese Garden" Of F. After Boucher"
Superb and large earthenware XIX in representation of "Chinese Garden" after François Boucher. This terracotta group represents a young woman dressed in oriental, surrounded by flowers bouquets and accompanied by a young Chinese taking care of her. This subject is taken from the engraving made by François BOUCHER about 1742 for the manufacture of Beauvais, entitled "Chinese garden". Superb patina and work of great quality for smoothness and detail. Small accident to a nearly invisible arm.
