"Parrot Head Right, Bronze Sculpture Signed Sandoz"
Bronze sculpture representing a parrot turning its head to the right (rare) signed Sandoz (1881-1971). Cast by Susse. Son of Édouard Sandoz, founder of the firm, E. Marcel Sandoz had a childhood shared between the industrial world and mountain life. At the Geneva School of Industrial Arts, he learned all forms of art. He completed his training in Paris, following the courses of Antonin Mercié while forging his own personality. He then sculpted portraits and animals in marble characterized by a stylization and a simplification of the structure of his models.
