Antique Dazkiri Carpet, 130 X 250 Cm, Wool On Wool, Hand-knotted Under The Ottoman Empire, 19th Century

Rare Dazkiri, antique carpet from the second half of the 19th century.
Originally from Turkey, hand-knotted in wool on wool.
This small town is located on the road from Isparta to Denizli.
Batit in wool on wool, with a Turkish knot, warp, weft, wool pile. We find the same type of medallion on the Milâs type, Anatolian carpet.
Rare to find, this kelley format has a floral pattern specific to this type.
The hexagon is the basis of the composition of this piece, built with double "mihrabs", niches, of geometric shape with stairs In good condition, collection, it measures one meter thirty wide by two meters sixty long.
A large floral medallion accompanied by two pendants is placed on a brick-colored field, with staircase decoration for the ends.
# The black spandrels have undergone oxidation due to the black dye used in the 19th century.
Oxidation that is found on many Anatolians with this shade.
# The wine lees color, very present, is obtained by using madder root, acorns and wood ash.
# The curry-like color is obtained by mixing yellow pirene, wood ash and madder.
# The moss green or lichen was obtained by a clever mix of vase and acorns.
The border is made up of stylized flowers of the most beautiful effect, taking up the colors of the whole.
These floral motifs, medallions, fields and borders were knotted in the tradition of the "Siebenbürgen".
These Anatolian carpets, whose Christian churches of Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, were sponsors.
The most important collection of "Siebenbürgen" is located in Brasov, in the black church (formerly Kronstadt) in Romania.
An old carpet of a beautiful pedigree of a fine thickness, six millimeters.
This piece also has many similarities with the old Mochkabad carpets from Persia.
