Superb plaster bust based on the model made in 1767 by Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828), representing a flayed man.
This emblematic model became a classic figure for learning anatomy in drawing, painting and sculpture workshops.

Very beautiful 19th century casting work with perfect respect for details.

Beautiful state of conservation, no missing parts or restorations.
