"A Silk Satin Purse Embroidered With Chenillettes And Gold Cannetilles Circa 1760"
Circa 1760 France Precious embroidered ivory silk satin purse that has retained its period tinsel and dates from the end of the Louis XV period. Large square purse to be tightened with two original cream faille ribbons and braided on the sides (I did not try to tighten the ribbons so as not to damage them). Spectacular Embroidery in polychrome silk velvet chenillettes, sequins, cannetilles and gold curly threads, forming two large cornucopia bouquets. Pouch highlighted with rare silk thread lace and silver threads, fully lined with original cream taffeta. A label bearing the words Durant. Note a micro halo in a corner and rare rust spots on the satin that are not noticeable, the only defects to report. Exceptional state of conservation for this period. Dimensions: 26 cm wide x 25 cm high, measured flat
