Louis Frédéric Dupuis (1909 – 2003) is a painter of genre scenes and portraits. Born on October 12, 1909 in Bayonne, student of his father at the Bayonne School of Drawing and Painting. Student of Pierre Laurens (1875-1933) at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, then of Paul-Albert Laurens (1870-1934). Louis Frédéric Dupuis was director of the Bayonne School of Drawing and Painting from 1944 to 1963, then a simple professor from 1963 to 1978. His painting goes from classicism and academic tradition to the most subtle research of contemporary art.
