Superb beige terracotta statuette with red engoble representing a pregnant woman holding her belly. This type of representation is called maternity. We could see a resemblance to the menhir statues of Rouergue. In each culture, the cult of the mother is very present. On the back, traces of paint that can evoke the wavy hair of the woman. Some slight chips. 16cm high 10cm wide The statue was tested for thermoluminescence by the former owner by the Ralf Kotalla laboratory in Germany.
