Pair of porcelain candlesticks signed Jacob Petit, rich decoration of realistically treated flowers in relief, magnificent polychromy. The shape is delightful, the small arched feet are decorated with arabesques and gilded. Each piece is signed JP for "Jacob Petit". This is a work from the mid-19th century. Jacob PETIT (1796-1868) or Jacob Mordochée, manufacturer of ornamental porcelain known for the richness of his colors, the technical quality and the extravagance of his pieces. He founded several factories, notably in Fontainebleau, and is recognized as a great creator. 19th century period, Circa: 1850 (some missing parts on the flowers should be noted)
