"Silver Chalice And Paten, France, Circa 1900"
This chalice is in the neo-Gothic style, with a wide base with six projecting lobes, decorated with a frieze of pearls. On the terrace of the foot, a rich ornamentation of aquatic flowers, symbols of the Passion of Christ and a cross are framed in openwork medallions, separating a Latin inscription. The stem of the chalice, tubular in shape, is encircled at its base with a ring. The flattened toric knot is decorated with the same floral composition as that of the terrace of the foot, as a reminder on the conical cup with a straight lip. 950/1000 silver, Minerva hallmarks on the cup and on the terrace of the foot.
