Magnificent very large gilded bronze clock from the Restoration period. This is a portico clock in the style of an architectural temple with columns with Corinthian capitals, an architectural pediment and a dial surround with acanthus palmettes. Very beautiful matte and gilded mercury gilding. The clock movement works for a few minutes then stops, it will need to be serviced. Some numbers on the dial appear to have been repainted black. Sold in its original condition, as in the photos. This is a very large clock, very decorative and in good general condition.
