The impression shows a stylized depiction of the city of Rome—a city gate flanked by two smaller towers. The inscription reads: "ROMA CAPUT MUNDI REGIT ORBIS FRENA ROTUNDI" (Rome, the capital of the world, guides the reins of the round earthly sphere). Inside the arch of the gate, the words "AVREA ROMA" (Golden Rome) can be read.
