"Rare Sarreguemines Art Nouveau Vase"
Rare Art Nouveau Sarreguemines earthenware vase, circa 1880-1900. The slip-cast body is modeled with thistle flowers in low relief alternating with vertical foliage in colored glazes and gilded highlights. An example of this model, number 3028, is on display at the Musée de la Faïence, France. Condition: Very good - no chips, cracks or other defects. Glaze effects in majolica (earthenware) where the glaze is pigmented and applied to the body and then fired. This vase has been given this type of glaze and uses two colors in vertical bands which have then been given gilded details. 25.5 cm height Diameter 10 cm
