"Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Vase. China Qing Period.qianlong Jiaqing."
Vase in embossed copper, cloisonné and enamelled, polychrome decoration of flowers, leaves and stylised tendrils on a turquoise blue background. The vase was mounted as an petrol lamp at the end of the 19th century and has suffered much damage, the bottom was removed to house the reservoir and holes were drilled for the handles. We have kept the mount which is of good quality in bronze with a black and gold patina. The pale blueish turquoise and the presence of multiple firing holes allow us to think of this cloisonné from the middle of the Qing dynasty, early 19th century reign of Jiaqing or that of Qianlong at the end of the 18th century. Height: 330mm Diameter: 170mm
