Cartel Louis XV Tortoise Shell Chevillier

Bright Napoleon III period cartel clock in the Louis XIV style. In blackened wood, violin-shaped and curved, covered with a magnificent tortoiseshell veneer in a dominant dark red color with black nuances. The tortoiseshell has benefited from a buffer varnish providing contrast, shine and protection.

Quality gilded bronze ornamentation matching the corners of the cartel in a decoration of leafy scrolls, at the top rest musical instruments in a cloud of clouds.

Domed dial in white enamel accompanied by finely worked hands. The whole is protected by a golden bezel set with a domed glass.

Original movement without modification, striking of the hours and half-hours on an old bell.

Stamped inside the plate of the mechanism "Chevillier FxT à Paris", corresponding to a manufacture.
