"Pair Of Large Oil Paintings On Canvas Depicting Biblical Scenes. 19th Century."
Pair of large horizontal paintings executed in oil on canvas, depicting biblical scenes: specifically, "Moses Striking Water from the Rock" and "The Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes." Both works are derived from Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. The original 17th-century pieces are currently part of the Scottish National Gallery collection.
The paintings are dated to the first quarter of the 19th century, both on their original canvas.
