Antique Landscape Paintings, which proposes a naturalistic environment.
Old landscape paintings depicting nature and painted in warm, bright colours. XIX century.
The old oil painting is signed in the bottom right by Charles Georget, french landscape painter.
Jean Charles Georget (1833-1895) was born in Farcy-Les-Lys, in 1875 he exhibited in Paris at the ‘Salon des Artistes de Paris’.
He loved drawing and painting in the fields and alleys surrounded by vineyards. Reaching the age of twenty-eight, Georget lives
with the artistic elite of Paris, but later prefers the peace and quiet of Farcy Les Lys, a twin village of Barbizon,
south of Paris and close to Fontainebleau, where he could paint the light and beauty of the forest or the Seine.
Charles Georget's works are preserved and exhibited in the Rochefort Museum.
The oil painting is dressed with a beautiful carved wooden frame
The ancient painting and the frame are carefully and professionally restored.
