Ewer or jug, round and domed from the Bukhara region of the 19th century supporting a dominic-shaped lid topped with a floral fretel.
The particularity of this type of object was to be born without a handle.
Four small bronze loops.
The entire body of the copper jug is decorated with epigraphic decorations, leaf and flower motifs engraved on friezes.
Jug with a long spout with six sides decorated with friezes, very high flared neck, round belly, the whole placed on a pedestal, extremely decorative and heavy model.
Beautiful dark patina.
Dimensions: height approx. 23 cm - width approx. 17.2 cm - bottom diameter 7.7 cm - belly diameter 10.4 cm - Weight 618 g.
Ewers or jugs were and still are today, mainly used for ablutions, washing the face and hands, at the time of religious ceremonies.
