"Two-leaf Folding Screen - Edo Period (1603 - 1868)."

JAPAN - Edo period (1603-1868). Two-leaf screen depicting four cranes on a background of bamboo and pine trees in rocks, ink and gouache on paper, stamps at the bottom right and left, framed by a strip of silk woven with geometric and plant motifs, lacquered wood frame (slight wear) decorated with circular protective elements in engraved copper. The reverse decorated with paper stamped with geometric motifs (slight losses and restorations). Dimensions: 156 x 144.5 x 2 cm.
