JAPAN - Edo period (1603-1868) Oval jingasa, slightly domed, in glossy black lacquered wood and hira maki-e of silver lacquers of radiating strips, centered with a clan mon representing an eight-pointed star in gold lacquer (wear), attachment ring at the back. The edge is matte gold lacquered. The interior is lacquered in red (losses at the edge), seven attachment rings for a veil covering the neck. Chin strap and pad in blue silk. Dimensions: 13 x 34.7 x 36.2 cm.
