Japanese Wakizashi Tsuka sword in blue braided silk on white shagreen. Menukis depicting shells and abalones. Marugata tsuba in wrought iron, openwork and engraved depicting two dragons in clouds, the mimi ringed. Saya in glossy black lacquered wood ringed (slight lack at its end). Blade attributed to a late generation of the KENEMOTO lineage at the end of the Muromachi period (16th century), a lineage that lasted for 27 generations spanning the Muromashi and Heisei periods, straight, regular hamon, the tang pierced twice, one hole filled. Dimensions: 70 x 6.5 x 6 cm. Blade length: 62 cm. Sold with the support, its silk case for transport and its NTHK certificate. NTHK, also known as NPO Nihon Touken Hozon Kai, is the oldest organization for authenticating Japanese swords in modern times. It was created in 1910 in the post-samurai era. They authenticated this Wakizashi blade on September 15th of the 6th year of Reiwa (2024).
