Simone Oddou entered the GANERON painting school run by Yves Breyer's mother at the age of 18.
She was passionate about painting and was also interested in drawing on fabrics.
She worked for the greatest silk manufacturers DUCHARNE, STARON, BIANCHINI-FERRIER, BARRIOZ.
It was during this period that she met the painters Bernard Lorjou and his wife Yvonne Mottet. They encouraged her to paint and were her mentors.
CHRISTIAN DIOR, the founder of the famous fashion house, chose her to represent
good taste and French elegance in JAPAN in the years 1955-56. She was introduced to the emperor
HIRO HITO and the empress. She worked there and was charmed by this country.
She created a silk scarf company PARIS ART SILK (P.A.S) that she co-directed with a Japanese.
She died in 2003
