Large Art Nouveau Vase Lesca Goldscheider

Home > Products > Art Nouveau Goldscheider Maiden Vase Art Nouveau terracotta figurative vase by Goldscheider signed by the artist Lesca, circa 1900. Depicting a young Art Nouveau girl sitting rather demurely on the bulbous lower part of the vase. She holds in her hand a garland of leaves which winds around the vase to the upper opening. Wearing a loose, diaphanous dress, the top of which falls off her shoulders, and her hair in a chignon, a very fashionable style at the time, the lady is typically Art Nouveau. Bearing the artist's signature and marked with the Goldscheider plaque and the model number which, although not entirely clear, appears to indicate 01300/10/17. The overall height is just under 90cm and the condition is good, commensurate with its age. We have not attempted to clean it, preferring to leave it in its authentic aged appearance.
