"Large Napoleon III Tablecloth, 4.20 M, In Linen Thread Damask With Birds, Flowers, Butterflies"
Made on a beautiful canvas in damask linen thread with a slightly shiny appearance revealing very beautiful woven patterns representing: birds, flowers, butterflies...On the small widths, the hems are made by hand using tiny stitches, while on the other two end with the selvedge.
The weaving is composed of a large strip on the two selvedge sides and on the other two by a small frieze which ends with the small hem.
Very beautiful work, very white, in very good condition: just two very small repairs in a corner.
Dimensions: 4.20 m x 2.10 m — weight: 1.600 kg. Old linen washed and ironed with the greatest care: ready for a new life.
