"Cage" mount in silver hallmarked scallop shell, discharge mark Paris between 1756 and 1762.
The interior is lined with a silver leaf embossed with a concentric wavy pattern.
The interior bottom is also lined with a sheet of paper with a colored pattern resembling a playing card figure.
Superb condition for this mid-18th century box!

Small restoration to the decoration of the bottom of the right side panel.
