"Mid-18th Century Tuscan Tower Clock "
Elegant tower clock made of poplar and chestnut wood, covered in rosewood and bois de rose (fruit wood). Made in Tuscany, the clock reflects the classic style of the mid-18th century, when the mechanisms were purchased in London and assembled according to Tuscan taste. The clock bears the mark of the British artist W. Wasbrough of London, has a weekly winding and sounds for the hours and half hours. The clock case is decorated with glass on the front and sides, and ends with three elegant decorative wooden pine cones. The glass door opens from the inside, while the door below for the weights and pendulum is equipped with an authentic key, as are the weights and pendulum themselves. The clock is in good condition and has been polished with natural shellac. With its refinement and charm, this tower clock is able to enrich any environment with style.
