In the center is inscribed the Nasrid motto لا غالب إلا الله (Wa-lā gāliba illā-Allāh), meaning: “Only God is victorious”. In its original frame. Signed. Les Arabesques d’E Tiffou. Edmond Tiffou is a French artist who refined and applied the medieval techniques of Islamic art. Practicing the techniques of calligraphy, illumination and interlacing, he devoted himself entirely to Islamic art and his work is a celebration of his inspiration.
