Tantō, Japanese dagger, aiguchi style (without guard or tsuba) from the 19th century, either end of the Edo period or beginning of the Meiji period. Scabbard (Saya) in lacquered wood with decoration of golden lotus and plant friezes. Attachment ring (Kurigata) broken. Total length 38 cm. Length of the visible blade 21.9 cm, this one is straight, total length 34.2 cm. Nagako signed. The metal Mekugi is a little mobile. Sharp blade, with trace of rust.
