Superb Cicim from Mut on the Taurus Mountains in South-Eastern Anatolia. Cicim, pronounced djidjim, are embroidered pieces. A second weft thread on a woven structure is used to create all the patterns on the surface. This cicim is extraordinary. Great mastery, goldsmithing! Look closely at all the hexagonal medallions, they are all different and unique. Both by their shapes and by the play of 100% vegetable shades. It is a real painting to be placed on the floor or hung on the wall. The piece is ultra graphic and highly decorative. We can also appreciate the braided mesh fringes at one end.
