Robert Maura is a watercolorist from Nantes born in Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire in 1934. He works in Indian ink, red chalk and watercolor, draws from life and paints when he returns from his walks. His work is characterized by the omnipresence of water. His favorite subjects are the banks of the Loire, the quays of Nantes as well as the ports and coastlines of the Pays de la Loire and Venice.
