"Marie-antoinette Style Cup And Saucer"
Charming little Louis XVI style mocha cup and saucer, from the late 19th century. Porcelain saucer with hand-painted decoration of flowers in leafy medallions highlighted with gold friezes; setie with a pearled silver border. Cup with matching decoration in its silver stand, antique handle enhanced with a frieze of laurel leaves. Minerva hallmark and diamond-shaped goldsmith's hallmark (illegible). Gross weight: 80 grams. Diameter of the saucer: 8.2 cm maximum; of the cup: 4 cm. Apocryphal signature under each of the pieces, a crowned A in red, to imitate the manufacture of Queen Marie-Antoinette. No cracks, no restoration. Delivery: €10 for mainland France.
