Object description :

"Raynaud Limoges Promenade Au Palais Royal, Very Rare Coffee Service For 6 People Porcelain"
Extremely rare Limoges porcelain coffee service, Raynaud factory, Promenade au Palais Royal model.

This decoration, when it was created in 1938, was initially called "Promenade aux Champs Elysées" and was offered the same year by the Director of Galeries Lafayette and Martial Raynaud to Sacha Guitry for the release of the film "Remontons les Champs Elysées". Now called "Promenade au Palais Royal", this model is one of the most beautiful made by the porcelain maker Raynaud and represents scenes of daily life under the Directory. Its wing decorated with Brianchon is obtained by a clever mix of work entirely done by hand on an Empire shape, hence the rim covered in fine gold. On a slightly ivory background, the enameling of the characters in relief was done by the enameler Alexandre Harty.

This set consists of:
- 6 cups, diameter 8.9 cm
- 6 saucers, diameter 15 cm
- 1 creamer, height 12 cm at the handle
- 1 sugar bowl, height 14 cm
- 1 coffee pot, height 22.5 cm

The set is in very good condition, the coffee pot has just a star-shaped line underneath on the enamel cover without any seriousness.
This model is still made to order by the Raynaud factory (delay several months) at the stratospheric prices of: cup 1242 euros per unit, saucer 619 euros per unit, creamer 2005 euros per unit, sugar bowl 2731 euros per unit and the coffee pot 5066 euros per unit. Our new set at the factory therefore costs 20968 euros!!
We offer it to you at the studied price of 5500 euros non-negotiable, because it is a masterpiece very rare to find in a set.
The signature with the golden swan allows us to date it to the years 1945-1950.
Delivery by carrier with all the protections necessary for the transport of such pieces with insurance, 100 euros in France, 200 euros in the EU and 300 euros rest of the world.
