Unframed watercolor by Victor de Walsh Jackson, dated 1887, depicting fisherwomen on foot in front of Mont Saint Michel. Sheet dimensions 52x35cm Our view of Mont Saint Michel precedes the addition in 1897 of the spire that we know today. Victor de Walsh Jackson is a British artist, from the Victorian School who stayed for several years on the Emerald Coast between 1880 and 1900 and produced several views of the region, some of which are in the Museum of Fine Arts in Rennes. Note a small tear on the left edge of the sheet.
