A decorative tapestry after the original "The Hunt of the Unicorn".
The Unicorn Tapestries or The Hunt of the Unicorn (French: La Chasse à la licorne) are a series of seven tapestries made in the Southern Netherlands around 1495–1505, and now on display in the Cloisters in New York. They may have been designed in Paris and show a group of nobles and hunters chasing a unicorn in an idealized French landscape. Although various theories have been put forward, nothing is yet known about their history or provenance, nor about the mysterious monogram AE that appears on each of them.
