antique decorated ceramics and other objects, resting in an elegant red tablecloth.

The work is dated 1927 and signed at lower left by L. Jouenne, a French painter who was also an engraver.
Jouenne Léon (1873-1961), born in Paris, learned the art of painting and engraving from his father
Léon Michel Marie Jouenne, but also from the painters Truphème and Tournay.
In 1905, he began to exhibit at the ‘Salon Des Artistes Français’ and became a member.
In 1904 he received an honourable mention and in 1908 a third-class medal and finally in 1925 a gold medal.
This antique oil painting has an original golden frame in pure gold leaf .
The antique painting and the gilded frame are carefully and professionally restored.
