JAPAN - Edo period (1603-1868). Important Kimonokake in glossy black lacquered wood decorated in gold hira-makie with the mon of the HACHIKUSA clan (some dents on the upper frame). The gilded copper frames finely engraved with leafy scrolls and mon of the clan on a nanako background (slight wear to the gilding). Dimensions: 155.5 x 182 x 42 cm.
