"Ary Arcadie Lochakov, Or Lochakow, Rare Painting School Of Paris Russian Jewish Judaica Israelite."
Ary Arcadie Lochakov (1892-1941) arrived in Paris in 1920. Two years later, he exhibited at the Salon d'Automne, the Salon des Indépendants and then the Salon des Tuileries. He worked part-time in a photography studio to earn a living. The rest of his time, he devoted to painting. He died in 1941. After his death, all his paintings were sold at auction. The works of this artist are rare and sought after. I have only found two auction results for his paintings (last photos). Here, an oil on canvas representing a young woman with a parasol, circa 1930. It is signed lower left and countersigned on the back. Note: the general condition is good, but the canvas has some minor material losses. The frame is not original, it is much more recent. The canvas was removed from its stretcher and then remounted on a smaller one. Dimensions with its frame: 73 x 61.5 cm. Dimensions without its frame: 59.5 x 48 cm. Fast, careful and very secure shipping.
