"Rare Bar Furniture, Julien Covenmaeker (1927-2003), Belarti Edition"
Here is an original indoor bar cabinet produced by the Belgian ceramist Julien Covenmaeker circa 1965. This now rare model was made in his workshop in Ostend, Belgium. The cabinet is made up of three decorative panels in enameled ceramic tiles fixed on a wrought iron structure and, in openwork metal plates with a clover pattern, all being lacquered in satin black. The worktop is also made of enameled ceramic tiles that shimmer and capture the light because they contain metal oxides. The cabinet is published under the signature J.(Juliette) Belarti which is therefore not the name of the creator but the name of his company. Belarti being a contraction of BEL(ique)ARTI(stique). This bar is in excellent original condition. All the tiles are intact and have retained their beautiful and intense period colors. Here is a very attractive piece for your interior. It is both very decorative, practical and all in a measured space requirement.
