This set is topped by three branches in "Greek" volutes, decorated with stylized acanthus leaves, falling garlands, asparagus, burst pomegranates with seeds in the shape of buttons. This model seems to be largely inspired by the studies that Jean-Charles Delafosse (1734-1791), illustrious Parisian architect, sculptor and ornamentalist, disseminated through his engraved collections and in particular "the new iconology" in 1788. His numerous drawings with references drawn from Antiquity were as many models for a whole generation of sculptors, decorators and bronziers. Condition report: Superb original condition with a wonderful two-tone gilding, matt and shiny. The manufacture is of high quality with many pieces which denote Parisian manufacture. The carving is of great execution. tiny traces of use and age. Design of the end of the 19th century, the passage for electrification is possible.
