French School 19th century (Second Empire). Oil on canvas depicting the military locker room and the preparations of two dragoons of the Second Empire. In this locker room are represented all the clothes and accessories making up the kit necessary for dressing these soldiers. The scene depicts the styling of the horsehair tail of the helmet. The term dragoon refers to soldiers traveling on horseback but also fighting on foot. Canvas dimensions: 41 x 32 cm Period frame in gilded stucco.
