"Angel Or Putti Funeral Art "
In past centuries, it happened that an angel was lost at a young age. A sign of deep despair was placed on the small tomb in the form of a little angel, a putti who would have to watch over the rest of the little one who had passed away. This funerary art bears witness... Here, the little guardian nestles on the cross of Christ and admires a flowered crown, as a form of consolation. This anonymous sculpture was previously silver-plated, it is still weighted on its marble base.
