Seinques: Louis XVI Style Sauceboat On Tray In Sterling Silver Decorated With Roses

Sublime Louis XVI style Sterling Silver Sauceboat resting on its adherent oval tray. Sauce Boat and tray are finely embossed and chased with a rich decoration of cartouches framed by garlands of Roses and Flowers on a textured ground, with rocaille and scroll borders.  The sauceboat features an elegant foliate enhanced double scroll handle. Beautifully crafted from the highest quality silver, both sauceboat and tray are punched with the Minerva 1st Standard Hallmark (,950), and  mark of Master Goldsmith Salomon SEINQUES (hallmark with the initials "SS", either side of the number "5").
