Object description :

"Beautiful "neo-classical" Oval Portrait Of A Woman On A Framed Porcelain Plaque Circa 1810"
Beautiful oval portrait from the beginning of the 19th century on a white enamelled oval porcelain plate representing the young Bacchus in sepia color in the "Neoclassical Taste" well framed in a pretty rectangular woodwork frame with an oval molded oval window worked and gilded with the original leaf. This fine portrait bears all the elegance and refinement of this blessed period so close to Antiquity, Mythology and the cult of pure beauty. The fine face with the straight nose is in profile and in his hair a crown of vine branches symbolizes the subject of this God, the delicate painting with a fine touch is a sepia with matt pigments and the work of light; the beauty of this young and handsome Bacchus is singular and changes from the plump pot-bellied man often represented, the perfect conservation and the consistency with the frame make this painting an exceptional piece very pleasant and decorative to the highest point
